Review – Special K Bliss™ Bars

Lately, it seems as if I live my life on the go. And as our winter-time activities end, our spring ones are beginning, so I know that dinners and snacks eaten in a rush or in the car will be a long-term phenomenon.

Mom Central recently sent me a couple boxes of a new snack, that I think will be a good one to keep on hand for those nights when I have to work until 5:00 pm, pick up the kids at daycare at 5:15 pm and then get to one commitment or another by 5:30 or 6:00 pm.

SPK_rasp&choc Special K Bliss™ Bars aren’t just a quick and easy snack – but they’re each only 90  calories as well, which makes them certainly better for me than most of the other things I tend to grab from my cupboard when in a rush. And with a fruity/chocolate combination, the taste is more unique than any other snack bars that I’ve tried. And yes, I’ve tried a lot of them.  :)

SPK_orange&choc-We were sent  a box each of the Chocolatey Dipped Raspberry and the Chocolatey  Dipped Orange, and the girls and I all sampled them this week. I’m not a fan of raspberries, so I stuck to the orange flavor. Abby and Hannah tried the orange ones as well, and Becca gobbled down a raspberry one. I liked them quite a bit. Abby got about halfway through with hers and then decided she wanted to try the raspberry ones instead next time, so I ate the rest of hers.  Hannah insisted that she liked hers, although she didn’t finish it either (yes, I finished it for her as well… LOL).  I think I’ll keep several of them in my purse as a snack option – either for the “on the go” days, or in case I get hungry for a snack at work. Which ‘never’ happens, of course….  ;)

We also received a huge canvas carry-all bag from the folks at Special K – this is a great bag to add to my growing collection of re-usable ones for shopping trips.  Thanks, Mom Central and Special K!
