It’s a Bloggy Giveaway… :)

Today is the first day of contests over at Bloggy Giveaways! Don’t forget to go over and check out all of the amazing prizes that you can enter to win.

I am going to be running one contest this week, and it’s pretty much just for bloggers (sorry to non-bloggers out there!). The contest will be open for entries all week and a winner will be randomly drawn on Friday, April 25th.

I’ve had a lot of compliments on the custom header that my hubby, Ron, made for my blog – and on the previous one, which he also made. He’s made a header for my friend Kristi as well. Ron’s background and training are in graphic design and web design, and I happen to think that he’s quite talented.

I’ve talked him into letting me offer a custom header graphic to one lucky winner this week. Details can be worked out between him and the winner, but he did ask for a few simple rules. The winner will provide up to 5 photos to be considered for inclusion in the header (or portions of the photos, and preferably one will be an action shot), and the color scheme (a screen shot would be ideal). Ron will have creative license to choose 2 to 3 photos to crop and use in the header, and he will choose the font(s). He’s very easy to work with – and I’ve pretty much loved everything he’s made for me right away. He’ll provide the header as a graphic file, and if you need help with how to display it at the top of your blog, I know how to do so in Blogger and WordPress and can help with that.

So here’s what you need to do if you’d like to enter:

Leave a comment on this post and tell me what kind of theme or design you would want in your header (just a general idea, and you won’t be held to that if you win). No saying just “enter me” or something like that though. And this may go without saying, but please don’t enter if you don’t have a blog or website where you can display the custom header if you win.
Please make sure you leave a valid e-mail address or other way to reach you if you win.
Linking back to this contest page is not required, but you’re welcome to if you would like.
One comment only, please – multiple comments will be discarded and not included in the final drawing.
Comments will be left open until noon Eastern time on April 25th.
A winner will be drawn by random number generator on April 25th and notified by e-mail. This post will also be updated to state who the winner is.

Good idea for a giveaway. I need all the help I can get with my headers. Is it sad that I’m already thinking of a theme for Summer..I just did spring. I was thinking a beachy or water theme. Once the temps get warmer say July, I plan on taking pics of the boys in their little pool with their swim goggles on. So blues would be the primary colors. ooh I hope I win!

I have 7 kids and I blog about them all the time. I would love a header with all 7 kids. My only theme is that we have 7 qtpies.
I’m sure I could come up with some action shots of kids choking each other or running from chores or something, lol.

See, I have yet to learn the art of cropping people well…kudos on the talent and the header! My blog titled 3 P’s in a Pod. The 3 P’s are my 3 daughters…their names all start with P and I’d love a header that somehow reflected that..as opposed to the wonderful blog by the name of 3 Peas in a Pod.

I’d like something that combines my love of coffee with my love for my kids…..I have a cute song I made up for my daughter that says I love her more than coffee, so that would probably be cute to have there!

Oh, my, this is like Christmas. I love daisies, and old fashioned charm, and I love my garden. I love green, but not a bright grass green. More muted colors. Cutesy is okay, but it has to be unique. Not too busy. I like what I have, but I really would like to be able to switch it up a little. It’s like rearranging the furniture!

Oh how I would love a personalized blog…thank you for the giveaway!

I’ve been thinking alot about what I would want my blog to look like but the problem is I’m not to creative. I know I like certain colors and I love toile…so maybe something with a little toile involved? And of course, a picture of the family somewhere too!
