Or maybe I should’ve titled this post ‘babysitters’ because that’s pretty much what I’m going to be tackling today. We have two major things going on this week, and both are Abby-related.

First, tonight we have the ‘feedback’ session with the psychologist to find out what his thoughts are about everything that he evaluated Abby for. I’m extremely curious to find out what he thinks – if he agrees with our pediatrician about ADHD and what else (if anything) he feels is part of the greater issue with inattentiveness, disorganization and social skills.

I found out about this appointment yesterday afternoon – and thus have less than 24 hours (well considerably less than that as I sit here writing this now) to find someone to watch all three girls so I (and Ron if he’s done working by then) can go. I hate asking people for favors last-minute, but that’s what I’m going to have to do. Our usual sitter is on a class trip to Peru at the moment so definitely not available, lol.

If that weren’t enough, Abby’s eye surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, so I need to finalize plans for that day. It helps that we now know what time we have to be at the surgical center, so I can talk specifics with people. We don’t know how long we’ll be gone, but I’m planning for several hours at least. Becca will go to daycare and I have a few options for Hannah, so I just need to figure things out for sure.

Other than babysitters, I’ll be attempting to figure out how to keep a child who eats like she has a bottomless pit for a stomach from sneaking breakfast or even a drink of water before her surgery. That may just be the biggest challenge I’ll have had all year.
