Hi and welcome to my blog!
I’m Deb, and I am the mom to the most wonderful 3 kids you could imagine (ok, so I’m a bit biased…
).
My oldest is Abby – she’s 9 and in third grade. She loves to read, do origami, and wants to learn how to tap dance. She also loves arts and crafts and cats.
Hannah is 7 and is quite the ‘drama queen’. LOL She loves to perform, sing and dance any chance that she gets. She also loves to read, cheer and play soccer and her favorite animals are dogs and horses.
Our youngest is Becca. She is 4 years old going on 30 – and thinks that she can do anything her big sisters can do. She is our daredevil and loves to climb, swing, slide, and ride on just about anything she can reach. She is also the spitting image of her daddy.
I’ve been married to my husband, Ron, for 10 years now and we live in the Grand Rapids area of West Michigan. Ron is a real-life ‘cable guy’ whose long, unpredictable hours keep things interesting around here for sure. He’s also a former graphic designer who loves football (especially the Detroit Lions, for some reason), computer programming, working on finding new things out about his family tree – and most of all, his family.
Before kids, I was an avid reader and also loved crocheting, cross-stitch and other crafts. Nowadays I read a book when I can squeeze in the time – and have been learning how to knit for the past couple of years. I love to walk, listen to podcasts or music, watch tv, and most of all to spend time with my family.
Job-wise, I’m an unemployed ‘working’ mom – I worked full-time out of the house up until July of 2008, when I was laid off. So at the moment I am still job hunting, looking into all of my other options for bringing in an income, and taking care of my kids full-time. It’s different from what we’re used to, but our family is all figuring this out together. And no matter what – things still get crazy and hectic!
