(Almost) Wordless Wednesday #201 – Can you tell what’s different?

Here’s a hint…

This was originally to be a birthday gift for Abbi’s 10th birthday back in April, but she was very hesitant at the time about getting it done, so we waited. She brought the subject back up a few times over the past several weeks, so we stopped in a couple of weekends ago to find out more details. She still wanted to wait at that point, but then decided yesterday that she was ready and wanted to go ahead and get her ears pierced. So the girls and I headed to the mall in the afternoon and she did awesome. It’s hard to tell in these pictures, but she picked out Hello Kitty starter earrings (of course – she’s a wee bit Hello Kitty obsessed) and has done a great job of cleaning her ears when she’s needed to since (and of remembering to do it 3x a day). I’m so proud of her!

I just took my 8 year old daughter to get her ears pierced a week ago. She was so excited that we finally said yes!

So cute! My older daughter Miss keeps pestering me about getting her ears pierced (she’s just 9) and I keep putting it off! ;)

She looks lovely with it! I got my ear pierced when I was about six, but my mom keeps me from wearing any earrings because I am allergic to them. How I wish I also wore such cute earrings when I was younger. Every time my mom and I went to the mall, I would always look at a Tweety Bird pair of earrings. I always imagined myself wearing them. She’s pretty lucky she’s not allergic to it.
